We envision that our Flint Citadel will be a healthy,
growing church...
 | A stained-glass window that
graces our sanctuary. | Where WORSHIP is the sincere response of our hearts toward
God in reverent thanksgiving for His blessing, and joyous
praise for His salvation. Our worship will be
characterized by traditional and contemporary music and other
forms, and will be offered in traditional and non-traditional
times and formats.
Where EVANGELISM is expressed in the sharing of the Good
News of Jesus Christ with our friends, family and neighbors in
relational ways as we learn to effectively communicate our
faith through training in relational evangelism methods.
Where GROWTH in our individual and personal spiritual
relationship with the Lord is encouraged through:
The study of God's Word in small groups, meeting weekly,
and in our homes and other locations, as well as the study of
the Word in Sunday School, Corps Cadet programs and other
Christian Education opportunities.
The training of youth for ministry leadership and
utilization of youth leaders appropriately in meaningful
leadership roles.
Where DIVERSITY of our community is reflected in our
worship, our service in the community, and our programs as we
venture beyond our comfort zones to reach individuals of all
ages, and families from all economic and cultural groups.
Where SERVING OTHERS is the expression of our Christian
response to the needs of people as our members become
personally involved in service through the County Command
programs as well as youth character-building programs and
other new initiatives sponsored by our own corps to meet
community needs.
We envision The Salvation Army Flint Citadel to become
known as "The Church That Cares."
